Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of BDE (Bookmark Desktop Extension), the Windows desktop app and browser extension (for Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Brave) provided by Srikanth Ambidi ("we", "us"). By installing or subscribing to BDE you agree to them.

Purchases and merchant of record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for all our orders. It handles payment, billing, taxes and customer service enquiries about your purchase, and its own terms apply to the transaction.

Subscription and billing

• BDE is sold as a monthly subscription, charged in advance in US dollars, plus any applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your location.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. BDE keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Your license

• Each subscription comes with a license key for the number of laptops in your plan (one or two).
• The license is personal to you. You may not share, resell or publish your license key.
• You may move a license from a laptop you no longer use to a new one.
• BDE links to one browser per laptop at a time.

Fair use of project grouping

Project grouping and session summaries use an online AI service. To keep the service reliable for everyone, each laptop has a daily fair-use allowance. Normal use stays well within it. If the allowance is reached, BDE keeps saving your tabs as usual and groups the remaining ones the next day.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile or modify BDE, except where the law allows it;
• access BDE's online service other than through the BDE app, or try to get around its license or fair-use checks;
• use BDE for anything unlawful.

We may suspend a license that is used in breach of these terms.

Your data

How BDE handles your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Your saved bookmarks are stored on your own computer, and you are responsible for backing them up.

Availability and changes

We work to keep BDE and its online service running, but we can't promise they will always be available or free of errors. We may update BDE to fix problems, improve it, or keep it working with supported browsers and Windows.

Disclaimer and liability

BDE is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for BDE in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Ending these terms

You can stop using BDE and cancel your subscription at any time. If your subscription ends, the license stops working, but the bookmarks already saved on your computer remain yours.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
